Tried my hands on iPad Air using applepencil on procreate app 🌼 This is kind of my first attempt of painting flowers on iPad. And to my surprise I enjoyed digital painting.
All these days I was using my new iPad for composing scanned paintings. Or to sketch out some ideas. I was little hesitant to try flowers in procreate, in fact I was not sure how to do that. I did some Skillshare courses long back but then absolutely avoided to try them out.
Finally over the weekend I gave it a try and it turned out like this. 😀
I know I have been away from my blog. It’s just the (pandamic) routine, working from home and all. That being said the second lock down has just started today in Maharashtra India.
Anyways I resumed my paining, I guess last week or so and started posting it on Instagram. I could not post here on WP so thought to say HI to all my WP friends and share the paintings here as well.
After such a long break I knew that I need a good amount of practice to get back on track. So tried my hands on couple of Irises. Below are the pictures and also I have posted a time lapse video on Instagram you can see it on @artbysnehal
Stay safe and healthy that is what all I can say. Thank you for stopping by.

I know I know you must be wondering about the title, yes you read it correct. I have decided to end my 100 days of bird painting project 10 days early. That means the macaw I painted was the last one from this series.
I guess this is first time I have abruptly stopped the decided painting challenge, that being said my sabbatical is over and now full time work has started. It’s hard to dedicate time for art. So I had to discontinue the current challenge 10 days before.
On the other hand, the paintings which I photographed and edited last week are now ready for sell.
As I mentioned before, I found aqua brush pen is quite difficult to handle or may be I am not used to it and it’s just my excuse. I haven’t opened my art box yet. Still using travel kit. Also repurposing the old papers, using back of the paper.
No new painting today. I cut few from 100 days project. The cutting took an hour and then photo shoot for another 2 hours. Husband helped me taking photos and editing too. You can see my today’s Instagram story for more details.
It still need some work then it will be ready for sell!

I have this tiny birds in progress for today. It’s my quarantined painting so I am using my travel kit these days. That being said it’s hard for me to achieve desired results with brush pen. Or may be it’s just my excuse that I am not using my regular art supplies 😉
so another update is our hotel quarantine is over today, and next 7 days we will be home quarantined. It feels so good when you come home after such a hectic journey and staying in hotel for a week with all your luggage. When we reached home, my mother in law cooked a delicious lunch / thali to welcome us. That was a bliss having homemade food after a while.
As I mentioned before, I am almost 10-15 days behind in this 100 days project, and it’s July the world watercolor month going on, I think I could participate in #worldwatercolormonth as well at the same time right!
