I just have this Pink Bloom for today!
Woke up to a few inches of fresh snow in the morning. It was a winter storm today in Denver. You can see other photos in my Instagram story here.
I painted these snowy pines on a freezing cold day. I have used Bee Watercolor Paper and Mijello Mission Gold Colors.
Thank you for stopping by.
Today I practiced few more pine trees and tried to explore new things. I just wanted to tell you that not every attempt of painting make me happy and this is one of them. So sometimes I just start over again. Is this happens with you too? What do you do then?

Remember the pine trees I painted last week, now they are framed and will be up on the wall soon. 🙂
It’s a super quick sunday night doodle after a long day spent outside. Today we went to picnic. We visited Hanging lake, located in Glenwood Springs, CO. Here is a glimpse of nature on the way to our destination.
About the illustration- Orange and pink flowers are inspired by a Dahlia plant. I tried to make most simplified form out of it. That’s it for today! 😀
Hope you had a great weekend too!
This summer we visited to Denver Zoo and while roaming in the zoo we came across this wonderful composition. My husband clicked a photograph for me. I wanted to paint this one for long time, finally last week I started painting and now it’s done.
I must say it took me a while to finish this one. First I stared with pencil drawing. Then masked the bicycle and flowers so that I could paint background. After that I moved to paint basket, flowers and rest of the bicycle. The important part was shadow, It adds separation from the background.
You can see the progress photos below. Hope you like it. Happy Monday and have a great week ahead. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.
Few more flowers on Monday Morning. Have nice day ahead. 🙂
Few weeks back we went to Rocky Mountains National Park. I clicked this photo from running car, so it’s not clear though. I tried to captured the view.
I have used Prussian blue for sky then I realized I could have used other blue with little pink. As I started this painting on US art supply 140 lb paper, which doesn’t contain a high amount of water. So thought let’s not mess with sky by adding some water and other colors. Let it be for now! 🙂
